CHALLENGE
Not much of a challenge, really. I’ve been doing this for so long, this just happens organically. Just simple and attractive food photography for my friends at Pita Kabob.
Some of you may know that I spent the better part of the last decade as the full-time marketing manager for what I still consider to be one of the best restaurants in Visalia, CA: Pita Kabob.
These days, I am no longer there on a 9-5 basis and my role there is basically part-time website and digital signage maintenance as well as delivery of photos for use in social media campaigns.
They run the cleanest kitchen I’ve ever seen and their food is consistently solid and looks amazing, so the goal is always to capture the mouthwatering nature of the food. Every one of these items always ends up getting shot in a light box for presentation on their in-house digital signage as well as on their website for specials announcements. They also have a deli & market next door to the original Downtown Visalia location on Court St. These photos are what we’ve come to label “lifestyle photos” (anything that’s not shot in the product light box) are simply food photos in their natural habitat on a table or in the hands of the staff about to devour a delicious bite.
These are in no discernible order and some of the items pictured are only available for a limited time. Follow Pita Kabob & PK Deli & Bakery on Instagram to see what they’re up to currently. These are just some of my favorite shots that ended up in the wild.
